Influence and chances of new kind of power plants with water production( IWPPs) in near future ( INDIAN CONTEXT)
Traditionally, fossil fuel power plants were trending till 90's end of 90's but when it comes to later stage....coal fired and oil fired power plants becoming rising threat to the environment, so using those technologies no more an idea of consideration for any country.
if we can recollect renewable energy boom was started even in early 80's( strictly speaking), but no country had serious concern over the technology because of its starting cost and output issues...
so ultimately Natural gas became one of the good option to serve need of the hour, specially in India this wasn't last longer due to KG basin gas scarcity, as the problem started in early 2010 and gas supply was reduced all the plants. on the other side river water availability becomes a big obstacle for power generation as it is of last priority, (drinking farming then to power generation),
No of problems surrounding day by day for power generation in india and resulting in research and development of new power generation opportunities and main challenges or need of the hour are....
1. Water availability ( drinking usage and farming)
2. Sufficient power availability for growth or country progress
3. Fuel security for power generation.
IWPP ( integrated water and power production) obviously comes to mind as it is not a new idea but for indian context it will be the future. there is a definite need of large scale IWPPs to meet future challenges in mammoth population conditions.
ok, but what about fuel availability?
Hydro carbon projects, new O&G discoveries and fuel based research programs are already underway to meet some solutions but ultimately result is still unknown.but one thing we can assure is RENEWABLE thermal energies.
solar thermal power plant can some what useful here to go water distillation processes.... will be continued.........
